PADI TecRec Courses
PADI Tec 40
The PADI Tec 40 course is the first step for divers into technical diving and will teach you the knowledge and skills you need to make limited decompression dives to 40 metres/130 feet.
To enrol in the Tec 40 course, you need to be (or equivalent):
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
- PADI Enriched Air Diver with at least 10 dives using enriched air deeper than 18 metres/60 feet
- PADI Deep Diver or proof of at least 10 dives to 30 metres/100 feet
- At least 18 years old and have a minimum of 30 logged dives
The course would include the following:
- Tec Manual
- Theory Sessions
- Certification and Instructor fees
Excludes :
- Rental of equipment
- training dives
- gas bill for individuals and instructor

PADI Tec 45
The second part of the full PADI Tec Deep Diver programme, PADI Tec 45 goes one step further into planning decompression dives using one decompression cylinder and up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression in dives up to 45 metres/145 feet.
To enroll in the Tec 45 course, you need to be (or equivalent):
- PADI Tec 40 diver
- PADI Rescue Diver
- At least 18 years old and have a minimum of 50 logged dives, with at least 12 dives on enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet and 6 dives deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
PADI Tec 50
The final step to becoming a PADI Tec Deep Diver, the PADI Tec 50 course arms you with the skills required to successfully plan and make technical dives up to 50 metres/165 feet using at most two decompression cylinders. After finishing this course, you can expect to have the ability to plan dives in various situations independently and be able to demonstrate the qualities of a good full-fledged technical diver.
To enroll in the Tec 50 course, you must:
- Be a PADI Tec 45 diver
- At least 18 years old and have a minimum of 100 logged dives, with at least 20 dives on enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres/60 feet and 15 dives deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
Any additional technical training dives with a instructor would be at $250/trip in the Singapore waters. (equipment rental, gases not inclusive)
