Manado- Bunaken

The Bunaken National Park is a marine park in the North of Sulawesi island, Indonesia. The park is representative of Indonesia tropical water ecosystems, consisting of sea grass plain, coral reef and coastal ecosystems.

The waters of the Bunaken National Marine Park are up to 1,566m deep in Manado Bay. With the high diversity of corals, fishes and sponges, it is definately a spot that attracts many scuba divers.

Pulau Tioman

Pulau Tioman, 32km off the east coast of Penisular Malaysia with biggest attraction being its natural beauty, with lush forest greenery, waterfalls, mountain streams to waters surrounded with coral reefs. With the waters surrounded with numerous corals it has became a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Good time for diving: March to October.

 

Sipadan

Pulau Sipadan (“Border Island” in Malay) locatedin the Celebes Sea off the East Coast of Sabah, East Malaysia (which is on the island of Borneo) is an island of natural beauty with pristine rainforest.

With more than 3,000 species of fishes and hundreds of coral species classified in this ecosystem, the diversity and abundance of marine life found at Sipadan has allowed itself to have been named as one of the world’s top diving destination and by far the most famous dive destination in Malaysia

Thailand

Hin Daeng & Hin Muang

South of Phuket & Phi Phi Islands, lies Hin Daeng (Red Rock) and Hin Muang (Purple Rock).

The deepest wall dive in Thailand awaits you at the southern side of Hin Daeng with a drop of more than 60m with red corals covering the walls. Hin Daeng which means Red Rock in Thai has a underwater formation with only about 3m protruding at the surface.

Few hundred meters north of Hin Daeng where a completely submerged rock formation with lush purple corals covering the walls of the pinnacle, gave the dive site its name Hin Muang which meant Purple Rock in Thai. Hin Muang with a reef of about 200m long and 20m wide has three main pinnacles and is also known to be a cleaning station.

Similan Islands

90km northwest of a popular beach destination, Phuket, lies a group of islands in the Andaman Sea- The Similan Islands. The Similan Islands which is a group of nine islands got its name from the sea gypsies which speak yawi which ‘similan’ meant 9.

The Similan Islands is also noted as one of the to dive sites with world class diving in the South East Asia Region. With an average depth of 20-25m around the area, the Similan Islands is home to abundance of marine life with lots of rock formations and corals beneath the clear blue waters.
